This was one heck of a long and expensive project! The work was long and tedious with plenty of cleaning, blasting and painting. All of the bearings and seals were replaced. New wheel cylinders and brake tubing were installed to complete the restoration. The total cost of the parts, materials and machine shop services was about $500. Shhhh....please don't tell my wife!
Various views of the finished axle.....
The axle is going to be reinstalled in the truck over the weekend.
